The Pharcyde - Bobby Evans Mix

The Pharcyde - Bobby Evans Mix

This is the second mixtape I made for Delicious Vinyl. Realizing early on while digging through The Pharcyde’s catalog that I wanted to share as much as possible, any material that I could find was included, remixes, b-sides, even ancient VHS footage (Ice-T tour!), and cassette tape pre-masters. I really wanted to showcase the groups entire output during their historic Delicious Vinyl years.

“Plenty of versions of stuff you know and a few unheard bits for any Pharcyde fans. The switches between versions keeps the energy up on this 40 tracker, spanning the straight hip hop of the original line, this has remixes from Jay Dee, Da Beatminerz, Hot Chip & Kenny Dope to name a few. An official Delicious Vinyl mix, this is both a great introduction to the uninitiated, a killer mix for hip hop heads and an essential piece for fans. Enjoy.”

Evans & Eagles Mixtape $7

2007

I thought these where sold out for good but I just found a stack of CDs in a box filled up with money. If you want to support cop one. If you just wanna listen download it for free.

“Hot new mix from Evans & Eagles, aka The LA Dream Team, aka Bobby Evans from rap duo Brother Reade and OG Hollerboard alum Desert Eagles. It might sound trite, but I can’t even begin to describe this mix. It hops genres like nobody’s business, mixing songs that have no business being mixed and making every track involved sound damn good in the process. (And when I say mixing, I mean like party mixing, not mashemups - though there are some of those, too.) If you’re a fan of crazy diverse mixes from the likes of Hollertronix, The Rub and Caps & Jones, this is for you. It’s that well done. Some names to give you an idea what you’re looking at here, though you should really just hear it with your own two noiseholes: Freestyle, Punjabi MC, Prince, Stardust, MJ, Outkast, Lil Jon, Corey Hart, Rob Base, Dizzee Rascal, Elephant Man, Daft Punk, DJ Mehdi, Pet Shop Boys, Al B. Sure, David Banner, Wiley and more, if you can believe it. Real fun stuff here. Over 53 minutes total.”- Turntable Lab

Bobby Evans Presents: Delicious Vinyl 20 Years Fresh MiXXtape.

A few months ago I got a call from Delicious Vinyl and was invited down to their LA office to discuss the upcoming 20th anniversary of the label. I told them I’d be stoked to do a mixtape so they handed me the keys to the vault and showed me the way to the masters. I dug through the entire catalog for weeks in search of every rare remix, instrumental, and bside. I sifted through VHS tapes, cassette interviews and demos in search of hidden jams. After trading notes of favorites and previewing all the ideas for their upcoming remixxology records I hid away for a few weeks and pieced together this monster 52 track strong mix that spans the entire life of the label.

Cop it now, cop it later…
